Adeel Shafique is born and bred in Nottingham and has represented Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in age group cricket, from under 11’s all the way through to under 17’s. He has also represented Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club 2nd XI and is a member of the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club.

At 16 years old, Shafique was unexpectedly and in bizarre circumstances asked to fill in for Hampshire wicket-keeper Nic Pothas who was injured during warms ups for a First Class match against Nottinghamshire.

Shafique has had the privilege of being twelfth man for the full England Test team, which allowed him to rub shoulders with, and share a dressing room with, the current England Test Cricket team.

Shafique is an incredible local talent and we look forward to our involvement in helping him to continue to work his way up to the top of the sporting ladder.

Here’s what Shafique says about his sponsorship from Knightsbridge:

"I am proud to have the support of a highly reputable firm and being their ambassador means a lot to me.

It is great to be associated with a local company, as I’m a local lad who is proud to have represented Nottinghamshire. I’m really grateful to Knightsbridge Solicitors' Shuaib Khalil and Wakas Aziz for their continued support.”

Adeel also recently joined us in this year's annual Anthony Barker QC Memorial Shield six-a-side cricket tournament which raises money for Marie Curie, a charity which provides support for those living with a terminal illness.

With Adeel's help, we went on to win all six games we played, winning the tournament and claiming this year's trophy shield.
