Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa UK requirements

An investment of £200,000 or more is needed to apply for a Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa, and up to two business partners and their families may apply for UK visas based on this funding.

The eligibility criteria for the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa initial application (from overseas or within the UK) require that the applicant has:

A business plan.
Access to £200,000 in a regulated bank.
These funds must have been held in a regulated bank for at least 90 days.
English language skills equal to IELTS band 4.0.
Enough funds to maintain themselves in the UK.

Settlement

After 5 years, the applicant must:

Become self-employed or registered a UK company within 6 months of visa issue.
Have created two full-time jobs.
Have invested over £200,000.
Be in business at the time of application.
Have enough funds for maintenance.

Fast-track to settlement

To encourage more business activity in Britain, UK immigration authorities offer entrepreneurs a fast-track to permanent settlement. This is available to anyone who can either create 10 jobs or make more than £5 million turnover in a three-year period.

The fast-track initiative allows entrepreneurs to permanently settle in the UK in as little as three years.
